Thank you for choosing Charis Insurance Agency! My role is the Marketing Account Manager, helping to boost client’s marketability to insurance carriers. I work with new clients and re-marketing renewal business for current clients. I work closely with the producers and account managers to review current and future insurance needs and am the bridge to the underwriters at the insurance company. I help place new policies and work hard to negotiate your best pricing and coverages with the carrier.
I started my insurance career in 2005 at Westfield Insurance in the Agribusiness Department as an assistant underwriter. I was promoted 2 years later as an Underwriter and had my own territory from southeast PA, through MD and into Georgia. During that time I completed my Associates in underwriting and my AFIS (Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist) designations. I took as short break in 2009 when my second daughter was born and actually taught high school biology at a home school co-op group in 2010. From 2012 -2017 I went back to insurance on the agency side at The Murray Securus Agency, again in their Agribusiness Division as a marketing manager. It was there I learned what it was like to be on the agency side of insurance sales and learned a lot about Commercial Agribusiness & the Mushroom industry in those 5 years. I began my CIC designation and testing during my years at Murray & finalized my designation in 2019 after a 4 series test. In 2017 I joined the Charis Insurance Group as their Marketing Account Manager. I enjoy meeting new clients and helping current clients navigate their insurance needs.
In my free time I like to be outdoors whatever the season. I enjoy tennis, gardening and spending time playing outside with my family. I help coach a girls club soccer team and volunteer as a youth group leader for middle schoolers at our church. I dabble in art when there is time and love reading as well. I love a good book or author referral!
